Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make this pancake cake without eggs?

Yes! You can replace the egg with 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce, 1/4 cup mashed banana, or a store-bought egg replacer. The texture will be slightly denser but still tasty.

What size pan should I use in the air fryer?

A 6-inch round cake pan fits most standard basket-style air fryers. If you use a larger air fryer oven, you can go up to 7–8 inches, but cooking time may vary.

How do I know when my pancake cake is cooked?

Insert a toothpick in the center—if it comes out clean or with just a few crumbs, it’s ready. If it’s still wet, cook for 2–3 more minutes.

Can I make this recipe dairy-free?

Yes! Use almond, oat, or soy milk instead of regular milk, and swap butter with coconut oil or vegan butter.

How do I store leftovers?

Store slices in an airtight container at room temperature for 1 day or refrigerate for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 2 minutes before serving.

Can I freeze pancake cake?

Absolutely. Wrap individual slices in foil or cling wrap, then store in a freezer bag for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the fridge and reheat in the air fryer.

What toppings go best with pancake cake?

Classic choices are maple syrup, whipped cream, and fresh berries. For something indulgent, try Nutella, caramel sauce, or a dusting of powdered sugar.
